2018 FALL HORSE & TACK SALE
Avoca, Iowa Fair Grounds Sale Barn
South Side of Avoca on Hwy 59
Sunday, September 9
New Tack will be sold from 10:00 a.m to 2:30 p.m., followed by trailers, hay& calves.
Horses will sell next. Consigned used tack will be sold after the horses.
TERMS OF SALE:
COMMISSIONS ARE: HORSES, TRAILERS & HAY 8% or $15.00 which ever is greater
TACK 15% *** CALVES 5%
NO-SALE FEE ON HORSES, TRAILERS & HAY $15.00 up to last bid of $800.00 and $20.00 on last bid over $800.00
NO STALL FEE
CHECKS WILL BE SENT TO CONSIGNORS
PER IOWA BUREAU OF ANIMAL INDUSTRY REQUIREMENTS OUR ON SITE VET MUST EXAMINE EACH
HORSE AND ISSUE CERT. OF VETERINARIAN INSPECTION IN ORDER FOR THE HORSE TO BE SOLD.
COST OF CERTIFICATE ($12.00 PER HORSE) TO BE PAID BY THE SELLER AT SIGN IN.
ALL OUT OF STATE HORSES MUST SHOW CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST TO BE CONSIGNED.
HORSES PURCHASED MUST MEET STATE OF DESTINATION COGGINS TEST REQUIREMENTS.
THE COST OF COGGINS TEST BLOOD DRAW AT THE SALE WILL BE CHARGED TO THE SELLER.
(If a horse does not have a current negative Coggins test before the sale,
out of state buyer must leave horse in Iowa until negative Coggins test is returned, 3 or 4 days)
A Halter must be left with each sold horse or one will be charged to the seller.
HORSES WILL BE SOLD IN THE ORDER THEY ARE CONSIGNED.
We are now permitted to sell cattle. We can handle calves up to approximately 500 lbs.
All calves sold by the head. We will advertise all calves that are consigned ahead of sale date.
No loose pets, smoking or alcohol in or around the barn.
This is Woodbine Saddle Club's 40th Tack and Horse Auction.
Come early and inspect the stock and tack and plan to stay all day. Concessions will be available all day!!
