2024 Fall Horse & Tack sale cancelled

There will be no horse and tack sale for 2024.

If any are scheduled in the future, it will be published here.

Any horses and saddles that are consigned ahead and pictures have been submitted will be shown below. 

Consignments of horses and used tack accepted the day of the sale also.

ORDER OF SALE:

• New tack will be sold from 10:00 am to 2:30 - 3:00 pm
• Trailers, hay & other equipment 
• Horses will be sold next in the order they are consigned
• Used tack will be sold after the horses

TERMS OF SALE:

Commissions are: Horses, trailers & hay 8%

              Used tack 15%

These commissions will be deducted from the sale price.

No sale fee on horses, trailers & hay $15.00 up to last bid of $800.00 and $20.00 for last bid over $800.00

We accept payment by cash or checks only.  We are not able to process cards.

CHECKS WILL BE SENT TO CONSIGNORS

HEALTH PAPERS

Per Iowa Bureau of Animal Industry requirements, our on site vet must examine each horse the day of the sale and issue a certificate of veterinarian inspection in order for the horse to be sold. 

Cost of certificate ($20.00 per horse) to be paid by the seller at sign in.

COGGINS TESTS:

(PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION)

Iowa sellers are not required to have current negative Coggins tests for their horses, as long as they are sold to an Iowa buyer, however they are strongly encouraged to do so to attract out of state buyers.

ALL OUT OF STATE HORSES MUST SHOW CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST TO BE CONSIGNED.

HORSES PURCHASED BY OUT OF STATE BUYERS MUST MEET STATE OF DESTINATION COGGINS TEST REQUIREMENTS.

THE COST OF THE COGGINS TEST BLOOD DRAW AT THE SALE WILL BE CHARGED TO THE SELLER.($38.00 per horse)

WE DO NOT HAVE LAB FACILITIES TO PROCESS COGGINS TESTS AT THE SALE.

IF A HORSE DOES NOT HAVE A CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST BEFORE THE SALE, OUT OF STATE BUYER MUST FIND A PLACE TO LEAVE THE HORSE IN IOWA UNTIL THE NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST IS RETURNED, 3 OR 4 DAYS.  THEN THEY MUST COME BACK TO IOWA TO PICK UP THE HORSE.
